Hello!

Last thursday we had two guest street evangelists come in to impart their knowledge of open air evangelism with us. It was very exciting to be a part of, especially when you know that the minister himself was saved through a random street encounter - it's really encouraging to know that it works! We had 8 people selected to be "presenters" for the saturday outreach, and everyone else was assisting. I had a great time leading our group as we travelled to Olympic Plaza where a lot of street activities were being held all day. We had two different presentations to give and alternated between the two. One of our presenters, Jamieson, said afterwards that at first he was nervous about getting up and talking but then felt very comfortable sharing the gospel, it was just the drawings that made him nervous (which can only be improved by practice). There was one guitarist, however, who gave our group some trouble. His is very musically talented, but his lyrics were very damaging to what we wanted to accomplish that day, which was share the gospel. I know it was the devil trying to bring us down, but God always prevails, and not many people favoured his choice of style. We got together and began praying, that we will show love and grace, and that he would go to another location which he did after a while.

In total it went well, we had three good spiritual conversations and learned a new way of evangelism that really reaches out to a crowd. I will post up stats from the outreach as a whole on a later date. Take care and God bless,

Peter
