Hello!
I hope the last few weeks have has gone well (I know it's been some time since my last update). As for me I had a really great weekend two weeks ago; went camping at Yoho National Park in BC and had a blast!
Saturday was the big hike that we took in Banff and through the Sentinel Pass. At first it was extremely tiring, as we even stopped for lunch 10 minutes into the hill... And as we kept walking up the more difficult it was to continue. The amazing thing however was that the further we climbed the more beautiful the view was around us. We almost did not make it to the top, but determination (and exhausted desperation) of having gone that far kept us going. At one point we were climbing this very steep mountainside snow-covered hill, and the only way I could continue up it without falling back down was by stepping in step with the footprints that were made before me. It was right then I thought to myself how sometimes we rely on the people who were there before us, the people who set the example that we follow. It really emphasized our walks with God for me: He walks with us, and He's been there before us, and that is why we should never fear :)
I came back that weekend with a fresh outlook on life, and that is we can never forget who created the beautiful landscapes that we tend to run to during busy work weeks to find peace and tranquility. I hope that your weeks have been going well. I know that I am posting this almost two weeks after I went to the Pass, but I wanted to share this with you just the same. I love you.
In Christ,
Peter
